The Orthopedic Educational Series will present the fourth in their series of seminars this month on The Hip. The seminar will begin with a thorough review of the Anatomy and Physiology of the Hip. The presentation will then review common impairments of the Hip including:
- Osteoarthritis
- Rheumatoid Arthritis
- Labral Tears
- Fractures
- Bursitis
The physical therapists presenting will then review tips on how to avoid some of the aforementioned impairments, as well as treatment options.
They will present a short video on how a typical examination of the hip is performed, and how physical therapists formulate a "PT Diagnosis" prior to beginning treatment.
Finally, the staff will review some basic exercises that are typically prescribed for patient with hip impairments.
