Residents of the Bronx, New York, face a number of challenging health issues, but one
of the most prevalent is diabetes - 12 percent of the borough's population is
estimated to have the disease. Daniel Seidler, PT, MS, thinks the number might be even
higher when you consider undiagnosed cases.
In his Westchester Square Physical Therapy clinic in t he Bronx, the number of patients
over the age of 60 with diabetes is greater than 50 percent. That makes diabetes more
than a health concern; it's an epidemic that Seidler and his staff address each and
every day as their mission and business model.
