Diabetic Neuropathy Treatment

Treatment Plans

Anodyne therapy is a unique light therapy used for the treatment of pain. This infrared therapy effectively brings pain relief without the use of drugs and is non-invasive. It does this by harnessing the healing power of infrared light. Infrared light emits wave lengths of energy and it can penetrate up to 5cm into the body.

Because there is no electrical current or deep heat associated with this device, Anodyne may be used safely with metal implants, pins and screws, pacemakers and defibrillators.

WSPT is an authorized Anodyne Therapy Care Center.

  • Massage

Massage helps to increase local circulation of blood and lymph, thereby facilitating the process of nourishing the body on a cellular level. This can help promote wound-healing potential in surface tissues.

  • Stretching & Mobilization

Many who suffer from diabetic neuropathy tend to have issues with blood flow and flexibility. Our stretching program gives those suffering an opportunity to relieve the symptoms of diabetic neuropathy by improving blood flow and flexibility in the muscles where it counts.

  • Strengthening & Conditioning

Due to increase levels of pain, diabetics tend to refrain from walking; weakening the muscles in the legs. Here at WSPT we work towards getting those muscles back in shape to withstand daily activities and every patient receives a personalized fitness/conditioning program designed to fit the patient’s needs.

  • Balance & Gait Training
